Unveiling the Maestro: Zachary Rudulph, Shaping Future Bass Guitar Virtuosos at WCHS PAA

The heartbeat of West Covina High School Performing Arts Academy (WCHS PAA) is its dedicated Teaching Artists, and today, we turn our spotlight to the remarkable Zachary Rudulph. As a private lessons teacher specializing in Bass Guitar instruction, Zach brings a wealth of experience and passion to our students, guiding them on a transformative musical journey.

A Bay Area Virtuoso in LA

Zach Rudulph, a bassist and musical director, originally hails from the Bay Area in Northern California but now proudly calls Los Angeles home. His prowess as a touring machine and outstanding performer with an infectious stage presence has made him a sought-after musician in various genres including pop, hip-hop, gospel, and R&B.

His impressive list of collaborations speaks volumes about his musical versatility. From sharing the stage and recording studio with artists like Andy Grammer, Cody Simpson, Colbie Caillat, Fifth Harmony, and Queen Latifah to performing with Gavin DeGraw, The Game, Rachel Platten, Ben Rector, and Westside Connection, Zach has left an indelible mark on the music scene.

From Stage to Studio: A Multifaceted Career

Zach's musical journey extends beyond the stage, having graced numerous early morning and late-night TV shows such as Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, The Ellen Show, Good Morning America, Today Show, Billboard Awards, The Talk, The View, and Disney Channel. His recent role as the musical director and bassist for Andy Grammer during a tour showcases his ability to not only play the instrument masterfully but also lead and direct musical endeavors on a grand scale.

Currently off the touring circuit, Zach is channeling his passion for songwriting and music production. Additionally, his skills as a music director are being utilized to develop rising talent, helping them reach their full potential both on and off the stage.

A Family Man with a Musical Heart

Family holds a special place in Zach's life. His loving wife, Diana, and three beautiful children provide unwavering support, serving as the driving force behind his continuous pursuit of musical excellence. Zach's love for music was kindled by his father, a self-taught musician whose late-night bass sessions inspired a young Zach to follow in his musical footsteps.

In Zach's own words, "No matter what field you're in, hopefully you're inspiring others with what's inside you." This philosophy resonates deeply with our students at WCHS PAA, where Zach serves not only as a teacher but as a source of inspiration and encouragement.
